Srisile?
We elected to combine our last names, Basile and Srisupa, once married. We considered many variations but loved Srisile most. It is pronounced seh-SEEL.
When should I respond to your RSVP?
We will send formal invitations by March 20, 2026, but you are more than welcome to respond now. Your early response is greatly appreciated! We must have your response by May 1, 2026, however. We will not be able to ensure accommodations for you after this date.
May I bring a guest?
Yes! Please bring your significant other or best friend if you have no spouse! We were single once, too! When responding to our RSVP, please include the name of your guest so that we can ensure accommodations for him, her, or them.
May I bring my children?
Walker's Overlook can only safely accommodate a handful of children, so we must limit the number in attendance. When responding to our RSVP, if you require accommodations beyond what we have budgeted, please contact us. We will do our best to ensure that you and your children can attend. We love you! And thank you!
What all travel arrangements should I make?
We recommend staying in Frederick, MD. For those flying into the area, we recommend flying into Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) or Dulles International (IAD), renting a vehicle, and driving to Frederick. See our 'Travel' page for more information, including the hotel room blocks and rental vehicle discounts we have secured.
Gifts?
No! Your presence is gift enough!
"But what would I wear?!"
Cocktail attire is the fit for our wedding. According to The Knot: "Cocktail attire means wearing something more elevated than semi-formal attire but less dressy than formal attire. In other words, a suit and tie or well-tailored blazer and dress pants are preferable for men, while jumpsuits and mini, knee-length and midi cocktail dresses are great options for women. This is a dress code that comes with quite a variety of options, so let the vibe of the event dictate which direction you go." And the vibe of our wedding? Garden party.
And what are your colors?
Shades of blue and shades of green.
What can I expect for weather?
June generally provides for warm and potentially humid weather with a moderate chance of rain in the Frederick, MD area. If you and humidity are not the best of friends, consider breathable fabrics for your fit.
Is the event inside or outside?
Our ceremony is set to take place outside, in front of a gorgeous walnut tree in the back of Walker's Overlook. A cocktail hour, also outside, will follow the ceremony. Dinner, dessert, and tons more fun will follow in a cooled, partially-walled tent. Should it rain, the walls of the tent will be let down and all events of the evening will take place inside.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive no sooner than 3:20 PM and no later than 3:40 PM.
What is there to see? What is there to do?
Downtown Frederick is worth a stroll, especially if you will be here for a short time only. If you are looking to make a vacation out of your trip: Harpers Ferry to the west offers a unique experience for history buffs and nature lovers alike. And southward, is Washington, D.C.
